i went down town to chicago today and took the opportunity to get a little experince in taking pictures on the street and buildings since it really isnt my "fortay" but i never really gave it much a chane anyway...but i love this picture..i knew when i took it that this is what i would do to it and how it would come out...i hope you like!
I'll be honest, at first glance I didn't like this all that much, and I still think there's too much colour for a selective colour shot.
But you should always look twice at these things and when I did something dragged me in and I spent the last five minutes staring at it. I think what I like about it is the sense that the media is selling us these bright, shiny snippets of a totally unrealistic life. From the airbrushed models to the celebrity stories, everything seems more dramatic and colourful than real life.
That may have been miles from what you intended, but there you have it, it is what I saw.
i actually agree with you..even tho its my own picture lol...i guess you dont have to love your own pics but i was like hey maybes someone will find something in it..and yes it makes you look at it even if u dont like it at first glance..in an unsettling wau but u cant stop looking..
and i love your interpretation..its very insightful..i actually didnt think of it but i see it..it does look so fake (ive gotten that comment from others) and it just adds to the surrealness of it all..
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
